Lacrosse Head Coach Named

The Lacrosse team has named Peter Lawrence as their head coach for the 2005-2006 season. The decision was made on Tuesday by athletics director Pat Meiser-McKnett.
Lawrence is coming from a job as the head coach of Elmira College, a division III school which, under his lead, went 8-6 overall last season. This is Lawrence's first job as a division I coach.
Last season, the Lacrosse team finished 2-12 overall after going winless the season before.
"I'm pleased to add Peter to our staff," said Director of Athletics Pat Meiser-McKnett. "Our lacrosse program will benefit from his leadership and enthusiasm, and I know he will take the program in the right direction."
