Two University of Hartford students are currently in a local Hartford hospital after they were stabbed by another student earlier today around 1:30pm.

One of the victims, a 21 year old male suffered one puncture wound to his chest and four to the back. The other victim, 19 years old also suffered a puncture wound to the chest but only one to the back.

An emergency text was sent out to students at 2:10pm informing them of the emergency on campus. Students received another text at 2:38pm informing them that the university was closed.

The 21 year old assailant was arrested off campus and the lock-down was lifted at 3:33pm. As of now one of the 21 year old victim is in stable condition while the 19 year old is in critical condition.

Authorities are still investigating the incident and updates will be posted as more information is released.
